MUI

  1. 4 out of 5

--- dimension: design-quality --- The quality of the library is good but i must admit it was more easy to work with version 4. Within version 5 you are missing the cards. Are they comming back?

  2. 5 out of 5

--- dimension: feature-availability --- Our team recently replaced Bootstrap and other libraries for MUI in an effort to centralize frontend tools. MUI has a wide host of components that we would otherwise build out from scratch or use multiple libraries for simple things. The code quality is very clean and the UI is great as well. We're looking forward to see MUI grow.

Thanks for the feedback. We track this improvement opportunity in https://github.com/mui/mui-design-kits/issues/12.

--- dimension: feature-availability --- Really great to have this kit... but it could have ALL the same components that live in the MUI component library and more examples using all the components. Drawers, snackbar, etc. The ANT Figma kit is deeper than this one. Please look at the templates that you can buy that use MUI and replicate all those controls and examples in this MUI Figma kit.

--- dimension: documentation-quality --- Another fantastic release from the MUI team. Data grid is a best in class for the react ecosystem.

--- dimension: design-quality --- Great work as always. Has really helped the prototyping UI stage alot easier. Kudos.

You can learn more about the state of charts by reading https://github.com/mui/mui-design-kits/issues/20.

--- dimension: feature-availability --- Will we have charts components soon?

Thanks for the feedback, we will look into how to work around the Adobe XD performance limitations.

  10. 4 out of 5

--- dimension: other --- It really saves us time using this kit. We use it to mock our design to sell new features. But sometimes there are too many layers which makes adobe XD hang.

--- dimension: code-quality --- I love MUI, I wanted to support its development because it's an invaluable tool for my work. I would like to see MUI continue to improve and gain new features.

Thanks for the feedback, we will solve this in the next release.

Thanks for the feedback. We fixed it in the v5.0.0 release.

Do you have more details on this pain?

  15. 0 out of 5

Thanks for the feedback. The latest version of the kit v5.0.0 now includes the components of MUI X, alongside the ones of MUI Core.

  16. 3 out of 5

--- dimension: feature-availability --- No xgrid components wich was the reson that we bought Material-UI for Figma. The rest of the component you can find in other free Material UI kit for Figma

  17. 4 out of 5

--- dimension: design-quality --- It helps to save some time. However the responsive design is missing ... that would have save me a lot of time :( And there are some mistakes in the components. I'm using it for a few days, but I found some errors already : 1/ Table's margins are wrong compared to MUI itself, 2/ Colors are not set using transparency, so alternative shades aren't working if you change the primary or secondary color 3/ Button groups don't have a selected version in MUI actually.

  18. 3 out of 5

--- dimension: design-quality --- Colour libraries were not set up for most of the colour options available.

  19. 5 out of 5

--- dimension: documentation-quality --- Some of the Material colours are not updated with their code, for ex: A700, A400, A200, A100. Instead they were all replaced with 900 which got a little confusing. We had to go back to the website to cross check and then manually corrrect the Figma file. Overall, it's really good and convenient. Please keep on updating it as seen fit.

--- dimension: customizability --- The quality of the libraray is great. Thanks Material-UI team for working on this. However, I have some questions regarding customization. Say we have different projects that have different colors and themes, what is the best way to customize them in Sketch? Since the Material-UI symbols are imported as a library, if we change the colors, it will affect all projects that are importing the libraray. We tried tools like Camilo but it is not a smooth experience. It would be nice that Material-UI team can document an "official" solution since I belive this is a common use case. The other question is how to leverage this library for wireframing. We have been using the dark libraray so that there is no colors to confuse the developers that they understand this is just wireframing, but still there are different kinds of buttons, for example, making the wireframing process not too effecient. It would be appreciated if there is a wireframing library provided with simplified symbols as well besides light and dark libraries. Just some suggestions. Thanks again for the great work.
