1) This is likely because of the lack of "derivative" design tokens in Adobe XD. Places where the components can't use the high-level design tokens directly. If you have a specific example that isn't this Adobe XD limitation, please open a new issue at https://github.com/mui/mui-design-kits. We would be happy to fix it.
2) We are waiting for more upvotes in https://github.com/mui/mui-design-kits/issues/76 considering that there are simple alternatives.
3) True, this is a no-goal for us. This design kit aims to match Material UI (created by MUI) as close as possible. It's itself a React implementation of Material Design (created by Google).

Nice overall, but 3 main complaints: 1) there are numerous areas where a change to a main color/component doesn't ripple through to other components that reference it, 2) Where are the all the icons? Even saying that the kit includes a fraction of the available icons is an understatement & 3) And this is more of a side-rant... While I realize this kit was made to focus on React components for React developers, it's disappointing that ya'll don't do more to support Angular (especially given that Angular, like MUI, is primarily developed by Google)
Thanks for the feedback.
> The kit can still be slow to respond in Adobe XD on a new Macbook Pro
This is a limitation of Adobe XD. We recommend migrating to Figma. See https://github.com/mui/mui-design-kits/issues/18
> allowing me to just change the main theme colors in one place.
Adobe XD doesn't support advanced color transformations, we can use an alpha color to match the React implementation which uses hard-coded values to fix background overlap issues.

I'm more of an engineer than a designer and I've been using Material UI in React for a while. I've been expanding my skillset a little and working a bit more directly with the design process for various projects which seem to all take place in Figma these days (great tool as well). After seeing a few demos online and realizing how much I'd have to reinvent the wheel to get basic reusable components in Figma that just come out of the box with this library, I decide to buy it. Took about 5 minutes for me to conclude that it was worth it.
Another great library from MUI.

Immediate productivity booster. I've been using Material UI in React for a while but only recently started using Figma for designs (I have more of an engineering background than design, but I'm expanding my skillset). It didn't take much time for me to realize how much I'd have to reinvent the wheel to get basic reusable components in Figma. After seeing a few demos online for this I decided to buy it. Within 5 minutes I could tell it was worth it.
Another amazing library from MUI.

Useful kit for sure, but for a paid product I would expect more polish. Some of the concerns from older reviews still haven't been addressed. The kit can still be slow to respond in Adobe XD on a new Macbook Pro. Icons have to come through another plugin or download. Still doesn't implement transparency correctly, allowing me to just change main theme colors in one place. After changing color pallette, new colors disappeared from assets even though the components retained the new colors. I would love to see an easier way to use and create data grids. Data grid instances are difficult to change.

Amazing tool for table management in web. A must for any web. You can forget about spending time on this object type thanks to MUI X Pro.
Thank you for the feedback. It would be awesome If you could report these specific problem instances in GitHub issues or by sending us an email at figma@mui.com! We want to fix them :)

So far the library is very comprehensive although I think the library should have been broken into seprate sections so it could be indexed better. The icon groups are good but uploading took almost an entire day.

Excellent set of UI components that relly accelerate the mockup process. My only slight issue is that it didnt come as a library, and when exported as such via Adobe Cloud, many components were missing.

High quality library, makes designing so much faster. You just need to learn a bit how to use it efficiently at the beginning.

Useful as a reference but pretty hard to customize anything as some components are done in a weird and old-fashioned way.
